Relisting Cause I'm Up Too Late

So today was Nana & Papa's house day. Needless to say, I didn't get anything done. So instead I decided to repost two of my best sellers as custom items, that way if they don't sell I'm not left with extra product! We'll see, if it works I'm gonna do more items that way in the future! :)

More Letters

So I posted another letter ornament today. I decided to do an even more custom ornament. On top of picking the letter, the buyer can also choose the felt and thread color. However, this ornament, does not include holly leaves. I figure they look nice with red, but might look strange with cotton candy pink! :)

I'm gonna make 10 or 12 up for the craft show. I think I'll do at least half of them in red, 1) cause I have a bunch of red 2) I can always add on holly and use them for the Holly Letter Ornaments. Alright, back to work!

Ocean Grove Craft Fair

Good news! I will be attending the 27th Annual Giant Craft Show in Ocean Grove, NJ on Saturday, September 5, 2009! This will be my first craft show as a seller, so if you live in the area please come down and show your support!

Here is a pic (from Google maps) of where the craft fair will be. I will be near the intersection of Beach Avenue and Ocean Pathway. (You can click on the pic to see it on Flickr.)


Here is close up pic of the map they sent me. My booth is #E21 and I will be in the aisle facing the grass (not on the sidewalk). (In this pic the beach would be towards the bottom.)



Attending with me will be my cousin Amber (The Wandering Knitter), and my husband Pat (Pi Are Round Bakery), and my Auntie Ann (who lives in Ocean Grove). My brother Tony (Digital Mushroom) won't be able to make it, but I'll be selling his stuff for him. I'm not sure if Amber's sister Heather (Gilliantwo) will be coming or not, but if she isn't Amber will sell her stuff for her.

I might have another person coming, but I'll post about him after I've talked to him about it. He is at Pennsic War at the moment, and won't be back till next week I think.

So far we will be selling pretty much what is in our shops at present, plus Pat will be making cookies (trays and individual baggies) and I will be making a bunch more felt ornaments. Amber has already started a large quantity of soy yarn kittens to bring with her. Hopefully the weather will be nice and sales will be good!

I am up waaaay too late again!

Well I didn't go to bed after my last post. Instead I finished one of my letter ornaments. So since I am still awake and it is done (and posted), I'll post a link to it here too.

I'm actually going to make a few of these, so I have pics of them, but the listing is really for a custom order. You pick which letter you want, and I make it for you! :) I hope it works, if not I'll just give them as gifts this year. ;)

Lazy Sunday...

...well it would be if I didn't have kids. :) Haven't gotten a lot done today, but it has been kinda relaxing. :) I think I'll have the Harry Potter ornament done by tonight. That's it for now!

Good Morning! :) I stayed up too late last night how about you? I did get a lot done though. All I have left to do on my Harry Potter ornament is the wording and sewing a back on. Oh and I made a quick sculpey piece last night too.



It came out prety cute, and it didn't take that long to make. I would have kept doing clay, but I thought our Movie/Game night guests were going to be working in the diningroom (which is where I am set up at the moment), so I cleaned it all up. Of course after I finished cleaning, they decided to play games in the kitchen instead! ~sigh~ Oh well, at least I got one made.

Tony (DigitalMushroom) didn't end up coming last night, so we'll have to post his stuff on Wednesday at Craft Circle. Alright time to finish this ornament, so I can get it posted! Then pics of the new stuff later (if it stops raining).

Etsy Treasury! The Power of a Summer Storm

I got to make another Etsy Treasury! :) It's called "The Power of a Summer Storm" and it is based on my family and I getting stuck in a horrible storm last weekend. No matter how bad it got I knew God was with us, and everything would be okay. :)

Since the treasury has expired, here's a pic of it I took while editing. For those of you who don't know, the last row is slightly dithered because they are the alternate pictures, in case something in the first three columns sells.

Craft Show

So I put in my application for the Ocean Grove Craft Show today. Hopefully it's not too late to get a table. The deadline for apps is Aug. 14, so I'm thinking I have a good chance of getting a spot. Crossing my fingers! This will be the first craft fair I've ever sold my stuff at (been to a bunch with my mom when I was little). I'll keep you posted!

So here is the progress on my Harry Potter ornament. I haven't gotten a lot of time to work on it, but it's getting there. :)

I am so nervous!!! :)

So one of my husband and I's favorite TV shows is Good Eats with Alton Brown on Food Network. It's a great show, and if you've never seen it you should watch it. :) Anyway, this year is the show's 10th Anniversary, so they are filming 2 live shows (the first live shows ever!) in Georgia. In honor of this, they are having a contest where you can enter a picture or a 1 minute (or less) video about how you are Alton Brown's biggest fan and why you should win tickets! So I spent probably 30 hours (not straight of course) making sculpey sculptures of the opening credits to the show, and my brother Alex helped me make a little video with the theme song in the background. And I just posted it! Now I'm nervous that it's not very good. :( At least it's not as good as I would like it to be. Cause I want it to be perfect. Cause I'm anal like that. :) Anyway, here is the link to my post:

Wow time flys when you are wasting time...

So hanging out in the FS Chat on Etsy is not a very good way to get things done. It's actually the opposite of getting things done! :) Well now that my kids are all awake and fed (and I'm no longer hanging out in the chat rooms), I think I shall attempt to finish my Harry Potter ornament. Man it's hot out this week!

Back from my mom's. I got a lot of pictures taken, but I haven't looked at them yet. That's next on the list. Oh I took pics of my brother's (Digital Mushroom's) stuff to, so technically he can post stuff as soon as I finish fixing them! :)

In other news, my cousin Heather (Gilliantwo), Amber's (The Wandering Knitter's) younger sister, opened her Etsy shop today! She has some scarves posted at the moment, but will also be selling some knitted flowers! :) Make sure you check out her shop! Here's one of her scarves!

Okay so I'm moving a little slow this morning...umm...afternoon. I decided to take a nap when the boys went down at 9 and they just woke me up! :) That was great! :)

To Nana's House We Go!

Today is Hamilton day. Heading into Hamilton Square with the kids to visit my mom, so my children stop driving me nuts! They like Nana & Papa's house better then ours cause Nana's house has a kiddie pool! :) Of course I think it's supposed to rain all day, but at least we'll get out of the house for a bit. I'm bringing my felt stuff with me. And I'll either work on my Harry Potter shield, or maybe make a couple quick fall ornaments. Depends on my mood.

I think my magnets from last night came out okay. I need to make a few more "interesting" ones. I think the ones from last night are a little plain. Not that that's bad or anything, I just like the harder to make ones better for some reason.

Okay I think I'll work on Harry Potter, till it's time for the boys nap. I need a nap too this morning! :)

DONE!!!!

Oh my gosh my brains are gone! But I finished! I have to tell you, even though I feel dumb admitting I can't cook clay tonight, These pieces almost didn't make it!

I made up 4 magnets including the "word" magnet I was talking about. I put them all on the tray, then I preheated the oven. This is where the problems begin... One of the babies started fussing, so I got up set the timer and went and checked on him, but forgot to put them in the oven! So I came back and waited the 15 minutes for the timer to go off. BEEP! Go to the oven, turn it off, open it, and there they are...gone! So I take them off the table, put them in the oven, reset the timer and wait another 15 minutes. BEEP! Go to the oven, open it, take them out and notice that they are not cooked...cause THE OVEN IS OFF! ARG! So I turn on the oven, put them in, and then stop and try to figure out how long I should cook them now, cause the oven was hot, just not on. I put them in for half the time. BEEP! Nope not done, 5 more minutes. BEEP! I don't care if they are done or not they are coming out! Luckily this time they were done. ~sigh~ You'd think I hadn't done this like 20 times in the last 2 months! :)

So I finally got them posted. Please check them out they took me an hour to cook! :)
