Summing Up

So I haven't posted what I've been up to for awhile. That's mostly cause I haven't been doing much. I'm having company this weekend, so I've been trying to get my house organized. Hopefully I'm done before my guests show up! :) Anyway, the one interesting thing I have done lately (I'm not sure if I mentioned this or not) is get a flickr account. Flickr is too cool! :) I am having sooo much fun posting pics and looking at other peoples amazing photography! Here's my link if you want to check it out.

Oh and since I was having so much fun on flickr, I bought a new camera! :D It's a Kodak EasyShare Z1015 IS. I love it! It's sooo much better then my point and click!

Craft Circle Day

So today is Craft Circle Day. Since it's cloudy out I probably won't get a chance to take pics of Anne's (The Crocheted Cat) hats, but we'll see. I have to give Amber her pieces she bought from Tony. And I need to post the dice pincushion. Oh and I also should finish the beehive. Okay time to clean up before people get here!

So Craft Circle day was cancelled because the skys decided to open up over everyone's point of origin. Bah! Oh well, such is life. So instead of working on my sculpey mice while the little monsters...I mean children are awake, I'm going to try another pin cushion. I'm honestly not sure how it's going. The cheese had square edges, my newest creation, a tomato, is round. And I don't think I'm going to be able to tell if it has worked till I'm done with it.

And just cause Amber will ask for one anyway, here is a "during" pic.



It actually might end up being an apple depending on the shape when I'm done. :)

Ocean Grove Craft Fair

Good news! I will be attending the 27th Annual Giant Craft Show in Ocean Grove, NJ on Saturday, September 5, 2009! This will be my first craft show as a seller, so if you live in the area please come down and show your support!

Here is a pic (from Google maps) of where the craft fair will be. I will be near the intersection of Beach Avenue and Ocean Pathway. (You can click on the pic to see it on Flickr.)


Here is close up pic of the map they sent me. My booth is #E21 and I will be in the aisle facing the grass (not on the sidewalk). (In this pic the beach would be towards the bottom.)



Attending with me will be my cousin Amber (The Wandering Knitter), and my husband Pat (Pi Are Round Bakery), and my Auntie Ann (who lives in Ocean Grove). My brother Tony (Digital Mushroom) won't be able to make it, but I'll be selling his stuff for him. I'm not sure if Amber's sister Heather (Gilliantwo) will be coming or not, but if she isn't Amber will sell her stuff for her.

I might have another person coming, but I'll post about him after I've talked to him about it. He is at Pennsic War at the moment, and won't be back till next week I think.

So far we will be selling pretty much what is in our shops at present, plus Pat will be making cookies (trays and individual baggies) and I will be making a bunch more felt ornaments. Amber has already started a large quantity of soy yarn kittens to bring with her. Hopefully the weather will be nice and sales will be good!

I am up waaaay too late again!

Well I didn't go to bed after my last post. Instead I finished one of my letter ornaments. So since I am still awake and it is done (and posted), I'll post a link to it here too.

The Letter S

Here is the pic of it. I'm gonna take some different pics tomorrow if it's sunny out, while the Craft Circle is here to watch the kids.



I'm actually going to make a few of these, so I have pics of them, but the listing is really for a custom order. You pick which letter you want, and I make it for you! :) I hope it works, if not I'll just give them as gifts this year. ;)

Sigh

So...so far today I have made one magnet. And it's not even baked yet! My kids were fine all morning until people showed up, then they were fussy for the rest of the day! Arg! I did get to help my cousin Amber (The Wandering Knitter) fix her pictures some. You should check it out! The chessboard in the pictures is the one I got my husband as a college graduation present. I retook a couple of pics of my stuff too, but I'm still not happy with the way most of them came out; except the wizard! His pic is cute! :)

Well now that my husband is home and it's getting to be bedtime for my kids I think I shall leave computer land and do some more sculpey. I hate having to bake just one piece! Though actually my brother Tony (DigitalMushroom) made two pieces after he finished playing with his banner. I think he only finished one though (I have to check). Oh and just so he doesn't yell at me. His banner (and shop) are NOT finished yet. He still has to tweak the banner.

Okay my husband is now kicking me off the computer. Later!

You've fooled around long enough.

Now is the time. The time to clean up my area, so when my guests get here they have places to sit! ~yuck~ This of course is my least favorite part of being a slightly messy person. ;) On the upside we just discovered there is a Japanese delivery place down the street from my house, so we get sushi for lunch! :) Okay, time to get my butt in gear.

...man I wish mornings were later in the day... Well anyway, today is Craft Circle Day! I'm gonna be working on some fall and/or back to school magnets in sculpey. It's always easier to work with sculpey when there are other people here, so I'm not constantly washing my hands when the kids go nuts.

I forget what I posted last night, but I did in fact finish the red background (and detail) of the Gryffindor ornament. While I'm waiting for the kids to go down for their morning nap, I believe I will start doing the detail on the yellow outside part.

Oh and I must remember to see who's coming today. I think I might have "extra" people today! :)
