Happy Geek Pride Day everyone! :) Today is all about ending bullying and celebrating what makes us all different! It was inspired by a little girl named Katie who was bullied at school for liking Star Wars. The boys in her class said girls weren't allowed to like Star Wars because it was only for boys! Her mother found out about it and posted about it on her blog. The response from the geek community was incredible! :D You can read the whole story on CNN.com.
Katie's school is having a Proud To Be Me Day today, where all the students and teachers are coming to school wearing their favorite character t-shirt, whether it's Star Wars, My Little Pony, or NASCAR, to show that we can all be different and all still be friends. In support of these great kids doing their best to increase understanding and end bullying, geeks across the globe are all sporting their favorite geeky t-shirts. You can check out the latest on Geek Pride Day by checking out the Twitter tag #MayTheForceBeWithKatie.
Katie was also offered many toys and gifts from her new fans. While she was grateful to receive so many gifts and offers of gifts, her and her mother would like to offer a challenge instead. Today if you can afford it, donate a toy to your local hospital or children's charity to help support our future geeks and make a less fortunate child's Christmas a little bit happier. :) If you're not sure where you can donate toys in your area, I would suggest checking out Child's Play an organization run by the people at Penny-Arcade that donates toys to local hospitals, or Toys For Tots which is run by the U.S. Marine Corps.
In honor of geeks everywhere I would like to present today's mini treasury, chock full of delicious geekiness! Enjoy! :)
You can check out the full treasury for even more geek goodies! Also if you'd like, you can take a second and check out my new Etsy team: Knights of the Coffee Table. It's a safe haven for all geek loving Etsians and both sellers and buyers are welcome to join! :)
Have a great geeky day and May the Force be With You! :D

Quick Post Today
Not feeling real well today, so I'll just do a quick post. I finished up the next Across Etsy treasury, but I didn't get time to make a mini treasury for it. Today's theme was the Dolls half of Dolls and Miniatures. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to do the Miniatures part. Here's one of my favorite pieces from today's treasury. :)

Have a great day! :)

Hopscotch and Other Reasons to Throw Things
For some reason my kids love hopscotch. I think it has something to do with their love of counting and their love of throw things. :) So my parents got them a foam hopscotch board for their birthday. They LOVE it! They having been playing with it non-stop since we gave it to them last night! The only problem I've run into is while the older kids like to actually play hopscotch, the little one likes to take it apart and throw the pieces around instead. :) But at least they are all playing together, sort of. ;) Anyway I thought hopscotch would be a cute theme for the day, so here you go! Enjoy! :)
Hope you have a hoppy day! ;)
