Winter Wonderland was written in 1934 by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith. It has been recorded many times by many different people, though I must admit my favorite version is in the sequel to the cartoon Frosty the Snowman called Frosty's Winter Wonderland. So here we go, a wintry wonderland of Etsy goodies! Enjoy! :)
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song,
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Have a great day everyone! :)
P.S. If you want to see all the snow we got around here (before it melted), check out my Flickr!
I live in the middle of Canada - we have quite a bit of snow. Actually almost had a snow storm on Christmas day, did manage to get about 1 ft. of snow :)
ReplyDeleteTo bad cold temps come along with the snow.
all our snow was rained away before I could go "walking in a winter wonderland"... ah well, I guess that's what late January is for :D
ReplyDeletepretty selections :D
Autum2May, I'm with you! I love the wintry white stuff! I guess that's partially because we don't see too much of it on Long Island. :) But I love the wintry mix you've featured! Thank you so much, it's an honor to be included. :o)
ReplyDeleteHI - thanks for including my "winter wonderland" photograph on your blog!
ReplyDeleteHurry up Spring, winter at 7,000 is TOO long!
Happy New Year - Cheyenne
Audrey - Wow! I would think you have quite a bit of snow all winter! I used to live in Vermont, and I remember having snow from Thanksgiving to Easter. :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey - Ours was gone pretty fast too, but we did get to play in it for one day at least. :)
ShadedMemories - You're very welcome! I live in South Jersey at the moment, so a good snow storm is something we only get once in a while as well.
Cheyenne - You're very welcome also! I usually get tired of winter about a month too soon. I think that might be a Jersey thing though, the weather changes too much to get used to it. :)
Happy New Year Everyone!
Jennie :)
