December 19th - Frosty the Snowman!

Since we just finished up the the 12 Days of Christmas, I thought I'd do some slightly shorter songs this weekend. And since we are supposed to get a giant snow storm today, I think that a frosty song would be appropriate! ;) Frosty the Snowman was written by Jack Rollins and Steve Nelson and was first recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass County Boys in 1950. It has been rerecorded many times by many different people and there was even a cartoon based on it! I hope all of you get to make at least one little snowman this winter, it is one of my favorite things to do when it snows! :)

Frosty the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose,
And two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the Snowman
Is a fairytale they say;
He was made of snow,
But the children know,
How he came to life one day.

Frosty the Snowman
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye,
Saying don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day!

Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Frosty go!

Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of snow!

I think tomorrow we will be keeping with the snowy theme. Can you guess which song I'll pick? Come back tomorrow to find out!

Have a snowy day! :)
